Drop Zone

Drop Zone - the worlds first playground elevator ride. The rider steps on at the top and descends to the ground, spinning as they drop; when they step off, the platform rises back to the top. The column is filled with water and has an internal float that creates the resistance and lift. The inspiration came from a kinetic water sculpture I created. If vessels full of water can rise and fall on a column then why not a platform for children to do the same? Patents pending. Manufactured and distributed world wide by Playworld Systems of Pennsylvania USA and Lappset of Finland. Lappset in association with Rovio have incorporated the Drop Zone into Angry Bird adventure playgrounds.
